EmpirBus Firmware 2.3.66

What is EmpirBus Firmware?

EmpirBus firmware is the software that controls the EmpirBus hardware. New versions of the firmware can be downloaded into the EmpirBus hardware to extend functionality or to correct a problem that has been detected.

Observe: Some functions in this firmware release is only supported by the newest version of EmpirBus Config (2.40). It is necessary that you upgrade to this version before using the 2.3.66 firmware.

Note! Firmware revision 2.3.6X changes the behavior of a main switch with auto-off functionality on membrane panels compared to revision 2.3.59 and older! For configurations where the main switch with auto-off functionality channel does not subscribe to a primary main switch, the functionalities between “Turn off when closed” and “Turn off when open” have been interchanged with each other.

- If the auto-off switch is configured as “Turn off when open” it will start up in a released state upon power up of the system and start counting the auto-off time. This means that the consumers controlled by the switch will be operable for this time

- If the auto-off switch is configured as “Turn off when closed” it will start up in a locked state upon power up of the system. This means that the consumers controlled by the switch will not be operable until the button has been pressed by the user. (This is the most commonly intended function in an installation)

Note! If you are upgrading an already existing installation that uses the main switch with auto-off functionality on a membrane panel, please ensure that the switch is configured the way you intend it to function according to the above information.

Changes in recent releases

Improved startup current tolerance for 8DO-B-01 output cards
Added current limitation protection for high inrush currents on 8DI-B-02 input card.
Improved accuracy for delay count on input cards 8DI-B-01 & 8DI-B-02.
Fixed issue with 8DI-B-02 cards incorrectly being detected as 8DI-B-01 in Config.
Fixed minor issues with activate/deactivate on input cards.
Fixed issue with false entries in error log.
Membrane Panel: Revised the logical startup state for main switch configured as auto-off and fixed issue when used in combination with block on burglar alarm on membrane panels.
Fixed issue with “Delay on” and “Delay off” indication for alarm reset channels on membrane panel.
Fixed issue with 8DI-B-01 and 8DI-B-02 channels not reporting properly on CAN-bus when used in combination with block on burglar alarm.
Fixed issue with Activate/Deactivate signals on rare occasions incorrectly being transmitted on release of main switch
Minor revision to 1MB-B units to accommodate the 8DI-B-01/02 update for block on burglar alarm.
Corrections made to internal communication protocol for Dimmer for Running indications module.
Changed functionality in Window Wiper module logic synchronization. Enables easy window washer implementation.
New digital filter implemented in 8DI-B-01 input modules. Resolves issues with latency on buttonpresses in high-noise environments.
Improved Digital Fuse curve for ABYC cards during overload conditions. Resolves issue with onboard ceramic fuse tripping before the digital fuse.
Added startup synchronization functionality for Fuse Reset button. Upon System startup, system fuse status is detected and the fuse reset button will indicate if there is a tripped fuse at system startup time.
Increased response time for backlight startup in 8MS-B-01.
Fixed minor issue with LED indications in 8DI-B-01 and 8DI-B-02
Fixed minor issue with pulse button synchronizations
Fixed minor issue with fuse status indications for 4IS-B-01 modules.
